Nursing courses
The course of nursing varies form country to country. There are n number of nursing schools around the world offering courses in nursing. Nurses are 'angels' sent by god to nurse the sick. Be it a Bsc qualified nurse or a home nurse, she looks after the sick with care and affection isint' she a real angel. How many of us can do the duties of a nurse with commitment. I salute all the nurses in the world for their services for us.
Lets take a look at the nursing field. The Yale school of Nursing was the first school of nursing established in 1923 in US. After your 10+2 you can go for a nursing bachelor degree or after 10th take up general nursing. What are the subjects taught in Nursing courses. They are taught pathophysiology, pharmocology and also inserting intravenous catheter, sterile dressing, administration of drugs, and more. The various degrees in nursing are diploma in nursing, bachelor of science in nursing, master of science in nursing, and doctor of nursing science.

General nursing and Midwifery
In India Candidates for nursing courses should at least pass their S.S.L.C or equivalent examination. Preferably with Physics, Chemistry Biology Subjects. Training in nursing is generally given in institutions attached to hospitals.
Bsc Nursing
There is B.Sc (nursing) Degree courses and General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) diploma courses. B.Sc (nursing) courses last normally for four years and GNM courses for three years. To Get job of a staff nurse Gnome course in enough.
Miltary Nursing
Females who are unmarried or divorced legally separated and widows without encumbrances may opt for the four year BSc (Nursing / three-year probationary nursing course conducted at various armed forces hospitals in India. Those selected to the course have to execute a bond to serve in the Military Nursing Services (MNS) for five / four years, respectively. During training all candidates will be provided free ration, furnished accommodation, uniform allowance and a monthly stipend.
Before nursing was considered to be a profession for women only. But now the scenario is changing as men are also opting for male nursing. Nurses can look out for in hospitals, public health agencies, miltary agencies, ngo's, aged homes, orphanages, asylums and so on. Indian nurses are preferred in many countries due to their dedication, and adaptability qualities. There is a growing need of nurses hence the nursing field has many oppurtunities in the world
