Chandni chowk
One of the oldest and busiest markets in Delhi, Chandni Chowk hosts authentic Indian food, delicacies and sweets of more than 1000 kinds. More to shop are varieties of sarees, books, clothing, leather goods, electronic goods, consumer goods and so on. The original Haldiram's is here and is a popular eating outlet in North India. Jalebis fried in pure ghee is a much sought after sweet dish here and people from everywhere come here to taste it. The place is very congested and bargaining skills can land you in good deals. For all kinds of silver and precious & semi-precious stones walk into the narrow lanes of Kinari Bazar, also famous for glittering costumes of famous Indian mythological characters

Dilli Haat
Located opposite INA market, Dilli Haat is a beautiful place for handicrafts and food from various states in India under one roof. A Variety of tastes from almost all parts of India find a outlet here. More Dilli haats are planning to come up soon. This is a sort of permanent market where craftsman from all over the country exhibit their art and artifacts giving a peek into the rich  culture and talent of the craftsmen. Here one can find Brassware items, beaded jewellery, fabrics, wooden carvings, paintings, bags, shoes, metal crafts, hand embroideried dresses, shawls, suits and so on. The prices are also resonable as it is controlled and from time to time various festivals and baazars are held here.


Janpath
Janpath means 'people's path' and is one of the busiest markets in Delhi. There are a lot of commercial offices in this area. The Tibetean market is found between Fire Lane and the Imperial Hotel. Here you can find a lot of art and craft items.










Karol Bagh
Karol Bagh is a shopping area, Here there are a lot of shops from clothes to jewellery. The well-known shops  include Roopak's, a spice store, but what the market is mainly known for is clothes and shoes, famous trousseau shops Ram Chandra Kishan Chandra and Zohra, Cheap Silk Stores, South India Cloth House, and Jainsons Westend.To pamper your taste buds are Punjab Sweets and Roshan di Kulfi (supposedly one of the oldest and best kulfi places in the city), and Bikanervala. The Ghaffar Market, here specializes in smuggled electronics and sundry other 'imported' items. Mondays are holidays.

Palika Baazar
Palika Bazaar is an underground, air-conditioned market located between the inner and outer circle of Connaught Place. There are over 300 shops here and all shopping items from electronics to garments are found here. This market is much preferred for cds and electronic goods.

Sadar Baazar
At present, the market not only deals in household goods but also in various other items like toys, imitation jewellery, stationery etc. The market can be termed as chaotic but to experience Delhi in its totality, a visit to the Sadar Bazaar is essential.

South Extension
The posh market of Delhi is located in Ring Road. The one and only shop for all the major international brands. Formals from Givo, Van Heusen and Louis Phillepe, casuals from Levi's, Pepe and Wrangler, Eye care by Ray Ban and Reebok can be found here. As also an exclusive Fabric Counter which houses the renowned brands like Dormeuil, Reid& Taylor, Holland & Sherry, Raymond, Digjam etc.

Lajpat Nagar
The most popular market in South Delhi suitable for all income group. A large number of shops catering to all types of household requirements i.e. Home furnishing, Clothes, Electronic items etc.

Khari Baoli
This market located in the Old Delhi area, is famous for its spices.

Hauz Khas Village
Boutiques and shops here stock items ranging from curios, old carpets to designer clothing. Do visit the Cottage Industry Emporium in Hauz Khas
