Driving safe through the thick fog:-

Driving the fog during the winter is a very tough task, especially if you happen to be behind the wheel. Look at these tips for drivers to prevent accidents.

Drive slowly and maintain a safe distance when you are following another car.
Make sure that your headlights and taillights are visible. Do not use the high beam. If the visibility is really worse use the fog lights.
Use your indicator before you turn and apply brakes early enough when you come to a intersection or a stop. This will help in warning the drivers behind you.
Clean the windows and the windsheild before starting out to drive.
If the fog is very dense it will be a good idea to stop the car and wait for help to arrive or till the fog gets clear.
Be sure your car is maintained like the lights, brakes, windsheild wipers, defrosters, radiator and other parts should be serviced and working.
If your headlights are not working, put on the emergency flashers, parking lights and indicators.
