Devigarh Palace
This palace is situated in the age-old Aravalli hills of Rajasthan. The 18th century Devi Garh Fort Palace, commands one of the three main passes into the valley of Udaipur. Sajja Singh, who hailed from the neighbouring state of Gujarat, was awarded this strategically significant principality, in recognition of his bravery and loyalty to Maharana Pratap against the Mughal emperor Akbar, at the battle of Haldighati.

Ajanta-Ellora Caves
Caves of Ajanta and Ellora, situated near Mumbai are worth visiting for their remarkable reliefs, sculptures, and architecture. The Ellora caves are situated outside the city of Aurangabad, 400km northeast of Mumbai. These caves are 34 in number and are carved into the sides of a basaltic hill. The Ajanta caves are 30 kms from Aurangabad; these depict the story of Buddhism, spanning a period from 200 BC to 650 AD. These structures representing the three faiths of Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism, were carved during the 350 AD to 700 AD period.
