Review of Nokia 5500

The Nokia 5500 has a bean shaped body is made up of rubber and steel and is shock, water, and dust resistant. Termed as a smartphone the Nokia 5500 has a flashlight on the top and the loudspeaker below. On the left side are the volume and camera release buttons. There are three phone modes, the music player and the sports mode remain active even when a phone application is on. The interesting feature about the lighting it is white when the classic mode is on, red when the sport mode is active and green when you're listening to music. Since it is a sports phone The Nokia 5500 can pronounce text with a mechanic voice. So even if you are busy with a workout or busy with a meeting the phone can read incoming messages without even holding it in your hands. It helps you in measuring the burnt calories while walking or running.

Worth mentioning is the music player. Headphones and cable remote controls are included in the package. It is said that the phone has 10 hours of music playback time plus the FM radio. The supported music formats are AMR, WMA, MP3, AAC and eAAC. There is a microSD memory card slot. Nokia will add a 64 MB card in the package, as much as the available internal memory of 5500.

The cover of the battery is metal. The navigation button is the biggest comapred to the whole button. On the back side of the camera is the 2 megapixel camera and a 4X digital zoom. The maximum resolution is 1600 x 1200. There is aslo video recording. There is GPRS and EDGE support. There is infrared and bluetooth also. The battery life is a bit dissapointing Battery life, clocks in at 3 hours of talk time and 7 days of standby, which is about par for the course.
